Our school offers snowboarding lessons in English, Mandarin Chinese, Dutch, and Flemish.

Choose a 2H , 4H or a 6 hour lesson. 
We'll teach you how to ride a snowboard in no time at all.

Our instructors are highly skilled, knowledgeable and friendly. During the course, students will comprehend and learn the 3 basic steps of beginner snowboarding, so that by the end of the final lesson, standing, balancing and turning can be confidently accomplished. Our teaching methods are unique and custom to suit each student.

Step 1: How to strap in, skate, get on and get off a lift, stand up and balance on heels and toes.

Step 2: How to stand up and balance on heels and toes, turn like a falling leaf, attempt half turns and/or achieve full turns.

Step 3: Brush up on full turns and progress to carving *depends on the level and desire of the student.

Eligible for lessons: 5th grade and above, able to perform consecutive turns

This lesson will build the foundation for ground tricks and snow parks to improve quickly and injury-free.

We will cover posture during free runs, basic techniques for having fun in the park (kickers, jibs, etc.), basic tricks such as ollies, nollies, and presses, which are the most basic of freestyle tricks.

This is the basic technique that will lead to both ground tricks and parks. If you have been practicing on your own, this is the course you should take first.

How to Use

1. Make a reservation at least 2 days before your visit.
2. On the day, check in at the Snowboard School reception at least 1 hour before your lesson starts (by 10:00 for morning lessons, or by 12:30 for afternoon lessons).
3. Apply for and pay for the Debut Plan at the school reception, and receive your lift ticket.
4. Pick up your rental gear at SPICY Rental Shop.
5. Arrive at the lesson meeting point 10 minutes before the start time (11:00 or 13:30).

At Hakuba Iwatake Snowboard School, our cancellation policy is as follows: 

◆ 2 week cancellation cut-time: once payment has been made, refunds will not be issued.

◆ Only in case of external matters, such as extreme weather will a refund be issued.
